In 2021, we are aiming the Superyard Farm Share directly at the neighborhood of our current farm hub in Pine Del.
So Pine Del neighbors, this is for you!
(If you are outside of Pine Del and want a share, or hope we can come to your neighborhood next, feel free to reach out.)
Here are answers to some FAQ.
What do I get in a typical farm share?
There is nothing as ‘local’ and as ‘in-season’ as the produce we put together for you! Each week, we pick a diverse sampling of what is at it’s peak at the neighborhood farm. We always try to give you something fresh and green, something for flavoring (like alliums or herbs). After that, it depends on what is ready, which can be anything from zucchini to green beans to corn or tomatillos.
You will be very familiar with certain offerings like salads and kales. But we will also have unusual things like saltbush and huauzontle.
In addition to the vegetables, each week we send along a booklet of interesting info that goes with the share, from nutritional content, cultural stories of the foods, and recipes!

How much do I get in each share?
You get between 3 - 5 items in the share each week. (Usually more towards 5!) This farm share is smaller than some CSA models which replace your entire produce groceries for a family the week. We hate the idea of ever giving people too much of one thing, in case you don’t like it or just can’t eat it in time before it goes bad. This farm share give you a small amount of a few different things. It won’t replace your trip to the grocery store, but it will absolutely increase your nutritional intake every week!
When do I get it?
For the 2021 Summer Season, we will be delivering farm shares on Sundays.
The Summer Season: August 7 – September 18
The Fall Season: September 25 – November 6
How do I get it?
We will drop it off in a bag at your doorstep!
By the way, if you have a problem with the time or day, contact us and we can figure something out.
What if I am gone a week?
We have two options: 1) double up your produce the following week, or 2) do our best to save your farmshare until you return. Sometimes, there are items that are so tender, like squash blossoms, that we can’t guarantee there will be any for the following week. However, we can try our best or substitute individual items if that’s the case.
How do I pay?
You can pay for your farm share by credit (via PayPal or Venmo), check, or cash. For credit
If you are doing check or cash, you can pay at any time leading up to or on the first delivery day of the season, August 8.
You can also sign up for BOTH the Summer and Fall season, and get a few bucks off!
If you are not sure yet about Fall, we will do a call in September for the Fall season.
What if I don’t like certain vegetables?
If you have allergies, let us know and we will do our best to substitute something for you, or double up on another item. If there is something you really just hate to eat, let us know and we will try to do the same. Although, we think it would be awesome if you gave it a shot! Sometimes, produce from the grocery store will have a different (worse!) flavor than what’s farm-fresh.
Why should I become a farm shareholder?
So many reasons. First and foremost, you should get a share of the farm because you will get delicious produce each week that is focused on the highest nutritional value. In addition, the farm share gives aspiring farmers a chance to grow while championing multi-cultural stories of food. And last but not least, it brings food sovereignty to your neighborhood!
